We spoke with the Local Authority Contracts Officer and the Infection control nurse who informed us that they did not have any concerns about this service. Staff were receiving training on a regular basis and this was monitored by the manager. Medicines were administered by staff who were trained and assessed as being competent to do this. Level access is maintained throughout the building aided by two passenger lifts serving the upper floors. Wide corridors and room doors assist those clients needing wheelchair access. Close links are maintained with a number of local taxi companies who offer disabled access vehicles that can enable our clients to continue participating in everyday local community life.
